I don't enjoy books that are about mundane every day life and that's what this one felt like to me. Very flat. I get enough of that in my own life everyday dealing with little kids, meal time, laundry and such as the book describes in detail I don't prefer to read about it.
I enjoyed the devotion and romance between Michael and Emily hence the 2 stars, instead of 1 , but it wasn't enough to keep me from getting bored. I still plan to read the 3rd book in the series I can't just read 1 and then I don't enjoy books that are about mundane every day life and that's what this one felt like to me. I still plan to read the 3rd book in the series I can't just read 1 and then leave off , I hope it is an improvement from this one.
Nov 12, Angie rated it really liked it Shelves: read-more-than-once. Again, a novel that I have read countless times. The more I read it, the less I like it, but that is probably because I am getting older and more cynical. It just seems a little too convienant that Ryan dies But in my teenage years I though it a tragic love story with a delightful ending.

You love them and ache for their challenges, thrill for their joys. Great read. May 13, Becca rated it it was amazing. Again another book I read in High School and loved! May 16, Princess Jen Jen rated it it was amazing. A one of a kind book always helping when I feel down. Jan 20, Amber rated it liked it. Anita Stansfield is an OK author.
She has a couple really great books, but most in my opinion are all the same and like a bowl of Lucky Charms--really fun but not really filling. Feb 12, Emilee O. Her collage sweetheart found her and asked her to marry him, and bring her children back to Australia, were he is from. She agrees, and loves the life she has there. I absolutely fell in love with this book.
I read it because the first book was just so heart warming.
I definitely connected with the main character, Emily, because we share the same beliefs. I love her never ending faith in God. On thing, and one thing only, that I didn't like, is that the entire book is the character interrupting each other. Stansfield really knows how to bring her characters to life. Every time I would read a page, I would have a vivid image of what was going on.
What I liked most about this book is that it taught me what even just a little bit of love could do for someone. It also taught me to never loose faith in what I believe. Mar 01, Sara rated it it was ok.

I read books to escape, not rehash what I had to do that day I get enough of that in my own life everyday I don't prefer to read about it. I still plan to read the 3rd book in the series. Hoping there is something exciting in 3.
View 1 comment. Mar 16, Diana Bever Barber rated it liked it Shelves: romance , religious. She loves two men: her husband who has wandered in his devotion to her and her non-member college sweetheart who is now a member. She's chosen to stick with her husband and be true to her temple wedding vows. He is starting to return to her emotionally and physically, so how could there be "second chances" in this--especially since the other guy was "dumped again" and returned to Australia?
Next day, Michael returns to the house after running an errand to find Emily in tears thanks to Mrs. Meet Mango! Naomi was saved with her mother and siblings in a small community. Very good books! A story I could never forget.
It's interesting but a bit too predictable. Jan 22, Kate rated it liked it.
This book saw Emily and Michael's relationship deepen further, as she gets ready to go to Australia with him and her daughters to begin their new life together.
